The Lewisham MC and producer released his critically acclaimed album in April 2018 and has been nominated for album of the year alongside the likes of Jorja Smith, Artic Monkeys, Lilly Allen and Noel Gallagher.
Talking to NME, Novelist described the feeling about being nominated for the award: “I really do feel happy that the art is considered as a great piece of art,” Novelist told NME about his nomination. “I feel like I’ve got an A*.”
If Novelist does win the award, this would be the third Grime album in the 26 years of the Mercury Prize to have it, alongside Dizzee Rascal's "Boy In Da Corner" and Skepta's "Konnichiwa".
